Hello My lovelies!

Today was a museum tour day, so I decided to dress slightly more casual for the event. We hopped a few museums, including The Smithsonian Museum of American History and the Museum of Natural History. Everything was completely cool and unique. I’m a geek at heart and love grabbing as much knowledge and random facts as I can.

New fact, I have been gluten free since late May because of my issues with lupus, as a gluten free diet can help alleviate gastrointestinal problems in lupus sufferers. Additionally, I switched to a different kind of birth control pills, which made me gain a whopping 30 pounds in hormonal weight. With the gluten free diet, I have not only virtually eliminated my digestion problems, but I have also lost 25 of those 30 pounds, simply by working out as much as I usually do with no gluten in my system. I’m not one to try to convert people, and I originally wanted the whole thing to not work at all, but after four days, I knew I could never go back. I felt so amazingly free from constantly worrying about where the closest bathroom is. In fact, it was so embarrassing that I often avoided leaving the house, as did my mother who also suffers from lupus. I am a firm believer in “everyone poops” and I am not ashamed of it, but being preoccupied only with “Where’s the damn bathroom?!” isn’t the kind of life I want to live. All in all, my advice would be; don’t bother going gluten free to be stylish, because it isn’t easy by any means. However, when and if you need it, the liberation it brings is so rewarding that you wouldn’t even think to go back to a life where your day is consumed by being close to a bathroom.

That’s all I have to say for today. Hope you all have a lovely last couple of weeks before the school year! Leave any questions and comments below, or email me about anything! I’m all ears!

Stay Beautiful!
