Digs and Duds

April Digs and Duds

Hello my lovelies!

I’ve got another round of digs and duds for you guys this month, so let’s get started!

Digs

Too Faced Meltoff Mascara – In case you missed my in depth review, you can find it here. I absolutely love this product, and I genuinely believe that it is worth the money ten times over. I won’t go into too much detail for this particular product, so click the link above if you want to know more.

Tarte Tarteist Sculpt and Slim Contour Brush – I am super happy with this contour brush. I love that it’s dual ended with a precision brush on one and, and an angled blending prush on the other. I also enjoy that the angled side is more in the shape of a fan brush, which I prefer to blend out my contour with. After spending a lot of time not loving the contour brushes I already had, I am glad I have added this to my collection.

BH Cosmetics #5 Shader Brush – What have I been doing without this brush in my life is my question. I love this brush for packing shadow close to my lashline, and it also does an amazing job blending out shadows on my lower lashine. Plus, it’s super cheap and great quality, you really can’t beat that.

Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Brightening Eye Base – When I was first trying this out, I didn’t think it was anything special and stopped using it entirely. I decided to give it another try and finally realized that it does help me quite a lot. It’s very smoothing for my under eyes, and it helps my concealer go on so much nicer.

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette – These shadows are so creamy, and one swipe has an insane amount of pigment. I love that this palette is like a mini version of Urban Decay’s Naked 1 and Naked 3 palette combined, the color schemes are so similar. However, I happen to love the color similarities, since browns and mauves are my favorite. This palette does come with 4 highlights, but only one of them works as an actual highlight for me. This palette would work for ALL skintones though, because all of the colors can be sued in different ways.

Marc Jacobs Fineliner Ultra Skinny Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer – The staying power of this crayon in my waterline is AWESOME, and I have annoyingly watery eyes. I don’t usually use this on my waterline, just out of preference for my Urban Decay pencils, but this works beautifully and is so blendable.

Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara – I was pleasantly surprised by the formula of this mascara. While I like the clay mascaras from Tarte, they don’t really do anything special for my lashes. Lo and Behold, this mascara is more of a wet consistency and allows for some pretty good volume. If you’re in the market for a reasonably priced mascara, I would go for this one.

River Island Belted Kimono top – In case you missed my last OOTD, I’ll leave you a link to check out what I’m talking about. This top is structurally stunning, and is incredibly figure flattering for anyone. It screams high fashion for your every day girl, which is totally me.

Calvin Klein Vegan Leather Jacket – I’ve had this jacket for about 2 years now, and I absolutely adore it. The vegan leather feels amazing, and I love the gold hardware. Please note I’m not against the use of real leather, I just can’t afford it, and don’t have any need for it.

“Like a Boy” by Ciara – This song is an oldie but a goodie. I really like the message that Ciara sends, whether you’re a boy or a girl. Remember that cheating is hurtful, unacceptable, and definitely not ok!

Duds

Too Faced Shadow Insurance – There’s nothing wrong with the quality of this product, however I had a really bad reaction to this primer. Again, I enjoy using this product for my friends and family, just not on me personally.

Tarte So Fine Micro Liner – I really like the formula of this product. My beef is the applicator tip. I don’t think it’s at all flexible, which again is unfortunate because I really like the formula.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – I really love the wand for this mascara, however it’s just too thick and dry for my liking. I like really wet mascaras, it’s just my preference, and this formula is more clay-like. If you’re into that kind of formula, then I would definitely go for this mascara, as the wand is absolutely awesome.

That is all I have for you all today. I hope you all have a lovely and sunny week. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out!

Stay Beautiful!
