Purple Mock Cut Crease Eye Tutorial

Hello my lovelies!

PurpleMockCutCreaseFace

I don’t know about you, but I love the look of the cut crease trend all over Instagram. I think that if done well, they’re incredibly clean and look amazing on almost any eye shape. Unfortunately, I was blessed with a serious lack of space between my brow bone and crease, so I don’t think a true cut crease will ever be in the cards for me. Also, they take SO MUCH EFFORT! I’m all about creating looks that are achievable for anyone, regardless of talent level, and while I have the ability to do a cut crease, a large majority of people don’t.

Insert: The mock cut crease. I think the biggest trick to achieving this is very precisely winging out the shadows, and placing them a little higher in your crease than normal. Personally, I like to get all messy with my outer corners, so that I’m not worried about intricate blending on the lids. I always do my eyes before my base, which makes creating the wing very easy; I just clean up any mess with foundation. My absolute favorite color is purple. I’ve had purple hair, purple nails, purple accessories, purple clothes, you name it, I probably own it in purple. I’m still holding out for a purple Iphone though, Apple, get with my program.

Let’s get started:

Eyelids:

  1. Prime and set the eyelids with the first shadow. A light shadow like this will help all the colors stand out even more. Always adjust based on your skin tone, or what you prefer.
  2. Mix shadows two and three, and blend into the uppermost part of the crease. Start to create a winged shape at the end.
  3. I borrowed the shade “Androgyny” from my JSC Androgyny palette, and blended that slightly lower into the crease and the outer corner, still following the winged shape.
  4. Focus shadow four onto the outer corner of the lid, and deepen the wing. Unlike most cut creases, we will not be dragging this into the crease, but you can if you want to. The reason I’m not doing this? I don’t want to have to carve out my crease with concealer.
  5. Take the first shadow and Pack onto the inner half of the eyelid. Clean up any messy blending that dragged downward from the crease.
  6. Using any black liner, create a thin bar across the lashline. You can totally wing this out with the shadow as well, but as I’ve discussed before, black wings aren’t really my thing.

Lower Lashline:

  1. Mix “Androgyny” and the fourth shade of this palette, and blend it 3/4 of the way to the inner corner.
  2. Tuck the first shade onto the inner corner and tear duct for a matte brightness. If you prefer a shimmery highlight, you are more than welcome to do so.

Other:

  1. Place a nude or white liner onto the waterline to add brightness and open the eyes.
  2. Curl and coat your lashes, apply falsies if that’s your thing.

Soft Glittery Purple Eyes Tutorial

Hello my lovelies!

purple-glittery-eyes

I had meant to post this a few days ago, however I’ve had a lot of tests come up lately that obviously took precedence. I know that I’ve done a look with the same palette that is similar to this, however this one is a more glittery approach to what I posted previously. Once again, it’s very easy to achieve, but looks fairly complicated once you’re done.

Let’s get started:

  1. Prime the eyelids and set from lid to brow bone with shade one.
  2. Using a large fluffy blending brush, take shade two and lightly blend in the crease, creating a slightly winged out shape. Do not put too much effort into the wing, as we will be layering over this later. This is not a dramatic wing, think of this as a very smoked out version.
  3. Using shade three on a pencil or flat shader brush, place this on the outer v of the eye. Blend this out with a small fluffy brush, following the soft winged shape we created earlier. Layer this shadow until desired opacity is achieved.
  4. On the same small fluffy brush, take shade three again and lightly distribute this into the outer crease. Do NOT blend this toward the inner third of the eye.
  5. Using a flat shader brush, pick up shade four and pack lightly onto the first 2/3 of the eyelid. For added intensity, wet the brush before packing on the shadow. I did not do this personally, since I wanted more of a light wash of color.
  6. For the lower lashline, mix shades two and three together and run this along, 2/3 of the way from the outer corner.
  7. Take shade number four again with a pencil brush and highlight the inner corner.
  8. Curl your lashes to Jesus and coat them with mascara.
  9. NOTE: If you have any glitter in your crease that you would like to remove, take a mix of shades two and three, and blend into the crease once again. This will remove any glitter that may have strayed away from your lid.

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it helps me out so much. Also don’t forget to have a wonderful last week of September.

Stay Beautiful!

Matte Purple Eye Tutorial

Hello my lovelies!

PurpleMatteEyeTutorial

Today I have a matte eye look, which is actually a first for me, since all of my previous looks contained a substantial amount of glitter. I am in love with how this look turned out, and I especially love how simple it was to create. Additionally, the palette I used is so affordable, that for once I would endorse buying it.

Let’s get started:

Mattepurple tutorial

  1. Prime the eyelids and set with shade number one from brow to bone.
  2. Take shade number two on a small blending brush, and distribute it throughout the crease, all the way to the inner corner.
  3. Using a small packing brush, take shade number three and place this on the outer corner of the eye. Blend this shade out, concentrating on the inner corner. Take whatever is left after blending and pull this into the crease.
  4. Using shade number one on another packing brush, place this in the empty area of your eyelid, from the middle to the inner corner. continue to pack up to three layers  for a brightened lid.
  5. For the lower lashline, mix shades two and three on a small packing brush, and run this 2/3 of the way across the lashline, creating an ombre effect by concentrating the most pigment on the outer corner of the eye, and softly dragging and blending the colors inward.
  6. Place shade number four on the inner corner of the eye, using a pencil brush. Be careful to keep this concentrated ONLY on the inner corner, as the lids are meant to be matte.
  7. Curl and coat your lashes to Jesus. Add false lashes if you wish.
  8. Enjoy your easy, affordable, and fashionable matte purple eyes.

That is all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. We are so close to 100 followers! Most importantly, have a great summer week, full of parties, swimming, and barbecue.
